At the age of 16 his early monumental releases alongside Skream on Big Apple Records paved the way for a whole new generation of dub music characterized by the combining of serial sub bass over half step beats. Today his influential production techniques are a source of inspiration for an entire scene and regarded by key artists such as Digital Mystikz and DJ Pinch as the genesis of the “future riddim”. Benga’s music is highly sought after and has featured on seminal labels Big Apple, Tempa and Planet Mu - as well Hot Flush, Southside and his own label Benga Beats.
